A C-4 Boiler, Hot Water Heating and Steam Fitting license (16 CCR §832.04) authorizes work on power boilers, hot-water heating systems, steam piping, and the pumps, valves, and radiators tied to them. Because boilers are pressure equipment rather than fuel-burning comfort appliances, CSLB treats C-4 as its own classification rather than folding it into C-20 (HVAC) or C-36 (Plumbing).
