NASCLA: how to get licensed

NASCLA contractors are licensed by the NASCLA accredited exam (confirm which states accept it before you sit). NASCLA is an accredited exam, not a license by itself. Some states accept a NASCLA pass toward their contractor license. Confirm the participating-state list and that state’s extra papers (often a separate business and law exam) before you sit.

Choose the classification below. The next page walks the path for that license, then stays on this site: our state hub and the matching prep.

Trade exams (this is the license for the work)

Pick the trade you want to bid. That is the classification on the license.
