Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of contractorpathway.com and any related products or services (the “Service”) operated by Contractor Pathway. By creating an account, purchasing a course, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract under California law. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.
2. Account Registration
You agree to: (a) provide accurate, current, and complete account information; (b) keep it updated; (c) keep your password confidential; (d) be responsible for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@contractorpathway.com of any unauthorized access.
3. Purchases & Pricing
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time; changes do not retroactively affect already-completed purchases. Payment is processed via Stripe. By purchasing you authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the listed amount including any applicable taxes. Discount codes and promotional offers must be applied at checkout; they cannot be applied retroactively to an order after checkout is complete.
4. Access Period
Each course product specifies an access window (typically 30, 60, or 90 days). The access period begins the first time you open the course (a lesson or practice exam), or 14 days after purchase, whichever comes first. At the end of the window, your access to the course materials, study guide, and practice exams ends. You may renew at the then-current price.
5. Refunds
Our courses are digital products delivered instantly, so all sales are final. See our Refund Policy for full details.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Share your account credentials with another person.
- Reproduce, distribute, resell, or publicly post any of our study guides, practice exams, question banks, or other course materials.
- Use scraping bots, automated downloaders, or screen-recorders to bulk-extract content.
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, watermarks, rate limits, or security mechanisms.
- Use the Service to violate any law or regulation, infringe any third party’s rights, or harass anyone.
- Upload or transmit malware, exploits, or any code designed to disrupt the Service.
Violation may result in account termination without refund and may result in legal action.
7. Intellectual Property
All study guides, practice exams, question banks, course videos, written explanations, branding, and software on the Service are owned by Contractor Pathway and protected by U.S. copyright, trademark, and trade-secret law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the materials for your own personal CSLB exam-prep use during your access window. No other rights are granted. You may not redistribute or resell the materials.
8. User Reviews & Submissions
If you submit a review, comment, or other content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, sublicensable license to use, display, edit, and distribute it in connection with the Service. You represent that any content you submit is your own and does not violate any third party’s rights.
9. Course Content & Accuracy
The CSLB exam content is based on California’s published codes and the CSLB Reference Books current as of the listed publication date. California codes change continuously. We update our content on a continuous review schedule, but we do not guarantee that every question reflects the latest edition at every moment. You are responsible for verifying current code editions before your exam date. Our content is study aid, not legal or professional advice.
10. No Guarantee of Exam Pass
Successful CSLB exam pass depends on factors outside our control including your study time, prior knowledge, and exam-day performance. While our pass-rate data is strong, we make no guarantee that purchasing or completing our courses will result in passing your exam.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services (Stripe, Google, Meta, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those services.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we are required to by law. You may close your account at any time by emailing us. Closure does not entitle you to a pro-rated refund; all sales are final.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the maximum extent permitted by law.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Contractor Pathway and its principals, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, or expense (including attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email to active account holders and posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
